MarketingBuddy

Cookie Policy

Last updated October 20, 2026

This policy explains how MarketingBuddy, owned and operated by Mango Villa LLC, 30 N Gould St, Ste R, Sheridan, WY 82801 (“we”, “us”), uses cookies and similar technologies on mymarketingbuddy.com and in the MarketingBuddy app, and the choices you have. It supplements our Privacy Policy, which explains how we handle personal information more generally.

1. What cookies and similar technologies are

Cookies are small text files a website stores in your browser and reads back on later visits. Websites can also keep information in your browser’s local storage, session storage or IndexedDB, or use small scripts (sometimes called pixels or tags) that send information about a visit to a server. In this policy, “cookies” covers all of these. First-party cookies are set by the site you are visiting; third-party cookies are set by another company’s service on that site. Session cookies are deleted when you close your browser; persistent cookies stay until they expire or you delete them.

2. Our approach

  • Strictly necessary cookies run the service you asked for, such as keeping you signed in and protecting sign-ins. They do not need your consent, and the service cannot work without them.
  • Preference cookies remember choices you make in the interface. They are set only when you use the feature they support.
  • Analytics cookies are optional. They load only after you click Accept, wherever you are. Until then, and whenever you decline or withdraw consent, none of them run, and analytics cookies and storage left from earlier visits are removed.
  • We do not use advertising cookies. We do not allow ad networks to set cookies on our site, and Google’s Consent Mode keeps advertising storage, ad user data and ad personalization turned off for every Google tag we load. We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

Analytics (optional, only with your consent)

With your permission, these tools help us understand how the site and app are used, which pages and sign-up steps work, and where errors and slow pages occur. Google Tag Manager (Google LLC) loads the Google tag and sets no cookies of its own. When you are signed in, PostHog and our pixel link what they record to your account ID, email address and name, as the Privacy Policy describes. Google and PostHog may process this data in the United States (see section 7).

Pixel storage (mmb_*)MarketingBuddy pixel (browser storage)The same visitor identifier as a backup, the first page you landed on, and events waiting to be sent.Until you withdraw consent or clear your browser storage

Microsoft Clarity was used on our public site in the past and is now disabled. Earlier visits may have left _clck and _clsk cookies; our consent cleanup removes them where your browser lets us.

4. Other services you may meet on our pages

Some features hand you to, or show content from, another company. That company may set or read its own cookies under its own policy, which we do not control:

  • Google sign-in, when you choose Continue with Google (Google’s cookie policy).
  • Stripe, which hosts our checkout and billing pages and uses cookies for payment and fraud prevention (Stripe’s cookie policy).
  • Connected services you sign in to while connecting an integration, such as Google, Meta, Shopify or TikTok, on their own sites.
  • Embedded content: images and video thumbnails from connected social networks, caption fonts from Google Fonts in Video Editor, and the live view of AI Research’s browser from Browserbase. Your browser contacts those services directly, which gives them your IP address and browser details.

5. Your choices

  • Cookie settings. Accept or decline optional analytics at any time from Cookie settings in the site footer or here. Declining is as easy as accepting, and withdrawing consent takes effect straight away: the page reloads without the analytics tools and their cookies and storage are removed. Withdrawal does not affect processing that took place before it.
  • Renewal. We ask again 180 days after your choice, or sooner if the tools or what they collect change.
  • Global Privacy Control. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we treat it as a refusal of optional analytics and as an opt-out of sale and sharing, including where you accepted earlier. We do not respond differently to the older “Do Not Track” signal, which has no agreed standard; Global Privacy Control covers the same choice.
  • Your browser. Most browsers let you block or delete cookies and site data. Blocking strictly necessary cookies will stop sign-in and other parts of the service from working. Your browser’s help pages explain how: Chrome, Firefox, Safari and Edge.
  • Provider tools. You can also use the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on on any site.

6. The MarketingBuddy pixel on our customers’ websites

Businesses that use MarketingBuddy can add our pixel to their own websites and apps. There it sets a first-party cookie (_mmb, with _mmb_s for the current visit and _mmb_op when a visitor arrives from an ad link that carries a click reference) on that business’s own domain, to recognize returning visitors for that business only. We process that data on the business’s behalf and do not use it for our own advertising or share it across customers. The business decides whether to use the pixel and is responsible for telling its visitors and, where required, asking for consent; the pixel waits for that consent by default and honors Global Privacy Control. If you visited one of those sites, contact that business about its cookies, or see our Privacy Policy.

7. International transfers

Mango Villa LLC is based in the United States, and some of the providers above process data there or in other countries. Where the law of the European Economic Area, the UK or Switzerland applies, we rely on appropriate safeguards for those transfers, as described in section 9 of the Privacy Policy.

8. Your rights

Information collected through cookies can be personal information. Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete or object to its use, and to complain to your data-protection authority. Section 7 of the Privacy Policy explains these rights and how to use them.

9. Changes

We review this policy when the cookies we use change and update the date above. If we add a tool that needs your consent, or a tool starts collecting more, we ask you again before it runs.
